Indirect Composite Inlays and Onlays

Indirect Composite Inlays and Onlays are becoming one of the more popular products among a growing number of our customers. It is one of the best ways to enter the cosmetic arena of dentistry. Indirect Composites are very easy to do, while at the same time very rewarding financially and artistically. Indirect composites fit much better than porcelain inlays and onlays. They are much less technique sensitive due to their flexural strength. Composites absorb shock and blend in the mouth much better than the ceramic equivalent. You will also notice a better fitting margin. Another advantage is being able to alter or repair cases in the mouth with direct composites. We have chosen CERAMAGE by Shofu as the material of choice for all of our indirect composite applications. We have chosen CERAMAGE because we feel it will give you the best in beauty, durability and wear characteristics. CERAMAGE is a zirconium silicate resin that provides an extraordinary combination of durability and strength. Harder than other light-cured materials, it is extremely resilient and more elastic than conventional ceramics. The strength and wear characteristics of CERAMAGE are superb, along with the more favorable flex properties as compared to the stiffer ceramic. | |
